The CO2 laser is a resurfacing tool that removes thin, precise layers from the skin’s surface. It addresses texture, fine lines, acne scarring and sun damage by vaporizing the outermost tissue and heating the layers underneath to stimulate collagen. The extent of the change possible depends on the skin's own character—its thickness, its colour, and how it has responded to sun exposure over a lifetime. These factors determine the appropriate depth and energy for the treatment.
What the machine is set to follows the skin in front of it. A treatment is planned not against a photograph of unlined skin, but against the patient's own history and anatomy. The depth of lines or scars, the skin's baseline colour, and its tendency to form pigment after injury are all part of the calculation. The goal is an improvement in the skin's own quality, consistent with the rest of the face and neck, not an attempt to erase every mark.

Lip Filler
A fuller smile, still your own
A measured lip filler result, judged against the rest of the face rather than a trend.
Lip Filler · Front
Defined and symmetrical
Seen head-on: balanced volume and a clean lip border, left and right in agreement.
Lip Filler · Profile
Soft, natural volume
In profile, volume that follows the line of the face instead of interrupting it.
Lip Filler · Side
Balanced from the side
A natural fullness and a graceful lip contour, seen from the side.
Under-Eye
A brighter gaze
The grey-violet shadow under the eye lifts; the gaze reads rested rather than tired.
Under-Eye · Hollow
The hollow evened out
The tear trough is supported gently; the dark ring opens and the tired look goes.
Skin · Hydration
Plump, hydrated skin
Dryness and dullness recede; the skin looks hydrated and alive again.
Skin · Even Tone
An even, smooth tone
Skin tone evens out; pigmentation and flatness give way to clarity.
Skin · Glow
A healthy glow
A glow that comes from underneath — the kind makeup cannot imitate.
Hydrafacial
Clearer, and calmer
Skin photographed before and after a course of Hydrafacial treatment.
Hydrafacial
Texture, close up
A closer view of the same treatment, where texture rather than tone is the change.
Ultherapy
Tightened without surgery
Focused ultrasound, which works on the layer a surgeon would otherwise lift.
This procedure addresses the quality of the skin itself, not the position of the underlying tissue. It can soften lines and improve texture, but it does not lift or tighten sagging skin or muscle. A face can have smooth surface texture and still have volume loss or laxity in the deeper structures. Understanding this distinction is central to assessing whether laser resurfacing aligns with a person’s objectives. It is a treatment for the canvas, not the frame.

Questions people ask
Answered as far as they can be answered in writing. Anything that depends on your own anatomy is answered by a surgeon looking at it.
What is the difference between CO2 laser and a facelift?
A facelift repositions the deeper layers of fat and muscle that have descended with age. A CO2 laser treatment addresses the skin’s surface quality — its texture, fine lines, and accumulated sun damage. One is about the structure, the other about the surface. They can be complementary but do not achieve the same objectives. The laser treats the canvas; a facelift adjusts the frame it sits on.
Can CO2 laser remove deep wrinkles and acne scars?
The effectiveness of the laser depends on the depth of the line or scar. The treatment removes thin layers of skin and encourages new collagen growth, which can soften the appearance of imperfections. Very deep wrinkles or certain types of acne scars may not be fully eliminated. The consultation assesses your skin's character and the specific nature of the marks to determine the extent of improvement that can be realistically sought.
Are the results from CO2 laser treatment permanent?
The treatment removes damaged surface skin and stimulates new collagen, an effect that endures. However, the skin will continue to age. Future sun exposure, lifestyle factors, and the natural ageing process will all affect the skin’s appearance over time. The procedure does not stop the clock; it addresses the skin's condition at a single point in time.
Is CO2 laser suitable for darker skin tones?
Skin with more pigment has a different response to laser energy and a higher likelihood of developing post-treatment hyperpigmentation. This does not rule out the procedure, but it requires careful assessment and specific parameters. The surgeon evaluates your skin type, its history of reacting to injury or sun, and discusses the particular considerations involved. The settings are adjusted for the individual, not the procedure.
Where is the CO2 laser treatment done and who is in the room?
The procedure is performed in a fully accredited hospital in Istanbul. The hospital where your treatment will take place is specified in your written plan before you travel. A specialist anaesthetist from our own team manages your comfort and safety throughout. Your surgeon performs the laser treatment. A dedicated interpreter is also present from consultation to discharge to ensure clear communication at every stage.
What do I need for my CO2 laser consultation?
The most important thing is a clear understanding of what you hope to address. It is also helpful to have a list of all medications, supplements, and skincare products you use, especially any containing retinoids or acids. Be prepared to discuss your skin's history: how it tans or burns, any past cosmetic procedures, and how it has healed from injuries like cuts or burns. Photographs of your skin from several years ago can sometimes be a useful reference point.
