Halil İbrahim read medicine on the English-language programme at Marmara Üniversitesi and completed his specialty training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa. He then served as a specialist at Erzincan Mengücekgazi Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi before joining the clinic — a state hospital and a private one, which are two different kinds of surgical practice and he has done both.
His work spans the three areas the clinic sees most: body contouring, breast surgery and facial surgery. He is certified by the Turkish Medical Association and accredited by the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He speaks Turkish and English.
