Penile enlargement can address length, girth, or both. Length is increased by releasing the suspensory ligament that attaches the internal penile shaft to the pubic bone, allowing a greater portion to sit externally. Girth is enhanced by injecting purified fat harvested from another area, such as the abdomen or thighs. The possible degree of change is governed by an individual’s anatomy, including their ligament structure and skin elasticity.
The outcome is planned not to an abstract measurement, but in proportion to the patient's own body. The penis is evaluated in relation to the pubic mound, the scrotum, and the overall frame. A key consideration is the distinction between the flaccid and erect states. A ligament release procedure primarily affects flaccid length, with a less predictable effect on erect length. Fat transfer for girth increases circumference in both states. Understanding how a procedure affects each state is a critical part of the consultation, as is the knowledge that a portion of any transferred fat will be naturally absorbed by the body.

How much bigger can a penis get from enlargement surgery?
There is no standard measurement for the outcome. The possible change in length or girth is determined by an individual's anatomy. For length, the deciding factors include the internal portion of the penile shaft and its ligament structure. For girth, the skin's elasticity and the amount of available donor fat are the main considerations. The surgical goal is always a result that is proportional to the patient's body.
Where are the incisions for penile enlargement and will there be scars?
To release the suspensory ligament for length, the incision is made in the pubic area, usually within the line of the pubic hair. For fat transfer to increase girth, the incisions are very small. One set is for the liposuction cannula at the donor site, and another is for the injection cannula at the base of the penis shaft. All incision placement is planned to be as discreet as possible.
What is used to make the penis thicker in girth enhancement?
Girth is increased using the patient's own fat, which is harvested from another part of the body such as the abdomen or thighs. This fat is purified before it is reinjected. Using the body's own tissue avoids the introduction of foreign materials. The amount of fat that can be transferred, and how much is retained by the body long-term, varies between individuals.
Does penile enlargement surgery affect erections or sensation?
These procedures address the external and anchoring structures, not the internal erectile tissues (corpora cavernosa) that produce an erection. The aim is to alter the penis's dimensions without interfering with its function or the sensitivity of its nerves. Any pre-existing conditions related to erectile function are evaluated separately during the consultation.
What information should I prepare for a penile enlargement consultation?
The surgeon will require a clear description of what you wish to change. A full medical history is also essential. This includes any urological conditions, erectile issues, or previous surgeries on the abdomen or groin. It is also necessary to provide a list of all current medications and supplements, and to mention any known tendencies for unusual scarring or bruising.
