Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to the same foundational layer of tissue that surgeons address in a facelift. This energy creates discrete points of thermal injury deep beneath the surface, without disturbing the skin itself. The body’s healing response is to produce new collagen and elastin, which aims to gradually tighten and lift the treated area. The extent of this response is determined by the skin’s existing structure and its capacity for regeneration.
The treatment is planned against the individual's pattern of skin aging, not a universal ideal. A map of the face and neck guides the practitioner, showing where and at what depth the energy should be delivered for the most effective lift. Someone with early signs of sagging in the jowls will have a different treatment plan from someone concerned with a heavy brow or lines on the neck. The goal is not to replicate the effect of surgery, but to work with the skin’s own structure.

Lip Filler
A fuller smile, still your own
A measured lip filler result, judged against the rest of the face rather than a trend.
Lip Filler · Front
Defined and symmetrical
Seen head-on: balanced volume and a clean lip border, left and right in agreement.
Lip Filler · Profile
Soft, natural volume
In profile, volume that follows the line of the face instead of interrupting it.
Lip Filler · Side
Balanced from the side
A natural fullness and a graceful lip contour, seen from the side.
Under-Eye
A brighter gaze
The grey-violet shadow under the eye lifts; the gaze reads rested rather than tired.
Under-Eye · Hollow
The hollow evened out
The tear trough is supported gently; the dark ring opens and the tired look goes.

Plump, hydrated skin
Dryness and dullness recede; the skin looks hydrated and alive again.
Skin · Even Tone
An even, smooth tone
Skin tone evens out; pigmentation and flatness give way to clarity.

Hydrafacial
Clearer, and calmer
Skin photographed before and after a course of Hydrafacial treatment.
Hydrafacial
Texture, close up
A closer view of the same treatment, where texture rather than tone is the change.
Ultherapy
Tightened without surgery
Focused ultrasound, which works on the layer a surgeon would otherwise lift.
The treatment addresses skin laxity, which is distinct from the loss of facial volume that also occurs with age. While it aims to tighten the skin envelope, it does not restore the underlying fat and bone that provide support. For this reason, the assessment looks at the skin's thickness and elasticity in relation to the deeper facial structure. A treatment plan considers how skin tightening will interact with the existing contours of the cheekbones and jawline, as one affects the appearance of the other.

Questions people ask
Answered as far as they can be answered in writing. Anything that depends on your own anatomy is answered by a surgeon looking at it.
What is the difference between Ultherapy and a surgical facelift?
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to stimulate the body's own collagen production deep beneath the surface, without incisions. A surgical facelift is a procedure that repositions the underlying facial tissues and removes excess skin. They address skin laxity differently: one prompts a regenerative response, the other provides a structural alteration. The suitability of each depends on an individual’s anatomy and the extent of skin sagging.
What does the Ultherapy treatment feel like?
During the treatment, the delivery of ultrasound energy can be felt as brief moments of deep heat or tingling. This sensation is an indication that the energy is reaching the targeted tissue layers where it can be effective. Perceptions of this feeling vary from person to person and across different areas of the face and neck. The practitioner monitors the energy delivery based on the treatment plan and individual feedback.
Can I have Ultherapy if I have dermal fillers?
A full history of any previous cosmetic treatments is essential. Ultherapy directs thermal energy into the skin's deep layers, which can interact with or affect certain dermal fillers. The decision to proceed depends on the type of product used, its location, and when it was administered. The treatment plan is designed to account for these factors, ensuring different procedures do not conflict.
How many Ultherapy treatments will I need?
The treatment plan is based on the quality of the skin and the degree of laxity. For many people, a single session is the starting point. The body's full response to the treatment, which involves the gradual production of new collagen, is a process that occurs over time. An assessment of this response determines whether an additional session might be beneficial for a particular individual's skin.
Where is the Ultherapy treatment done and who performs it?
The Ultherapy treatment takes place in a dedicated clinical suite within the accredited Istanbul hospital detailed in your personal plan. The procedure is performed by a practitioner specifically trained and experienced with the device. An interpreter is present for your entire appointment to facilitate clear communication between you and the practitioner, ensuring every step is understood.
What should I bring to my Ultherapy consultation?
For your consultation, please prepare a list of all current medications, vitamins, and supplements. It is essential to be ready to discuss your medical history, any skin conditions, and details of past cosmetic procedures. Most importantly, think about the specific areas that concern you. Describing the issue in your own terms is more useful than using technical names for procedures.
