Op. Dr. Emre

Emre trained twice. He qualified in medicine at Uludağ Üniversitesi at the top of his year, completed a residency in ophthalmology at Haydarpaşa Numune and worked as an ophthalmology specialist, then went back and completed a second residency — plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery — at İstanbul Üniversitesi. The eyelids and the tissue around the eye are where those two trainings meet.

The work since has been surgical and wide: plastic and aesthetic surgery at Bartın Devlet Hastanesi, then at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, then at Liv Hospital Topkapı, and now here. He holds the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery qualification, trained in facial surgery in Rome and Verona, and has three studies in progress — two of them measuring what patients themselves report after breast and facial reconstruction, which is a different question from what the surgeon can see.
